About Emily Ruth Photography

Emily Sheff's interest in photography and visual arts began during her teenage years, but her dream of working as a professional in the industry was not fulfilled until 2008.  After graduating from The University of Western Ontario with a degree in Media, Information and Technoculture, and a further post-graduate diploma in Public Relations,  Emily worked as the Media Relations Coordinator for Tourism Toronto for over two years. In working closely with Canadian and international media outlets, her love for photography, publishing and photojournalism grew. Suddenly, Emily realized she wanted to be the one behind the lens.

Since beginning EmilyRuthPhotography.ca, Emily's corporate clients include: Apex Foods, BPA Internet Connections, Chill Magazine, Council of Canadians, Fazer Magazine, Ontario Council for International Cooperation, Meetings & Conventions Magazine, PressPlus1.com and Tourism Toronto. Emily has also had the honour of photographing dignified Canadians such as the Honorable David C. Onley, MPP Hon John Gerretsen, national chairperson of The Council of Canadians Maude Barlow, and current Speaker of the House Peter Milliken.

Along with indulging in her love for photographing wildlife, landscapes and fine art concepts, Emily also conducts portrait photography sessions in the cities of Kingston, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and everywhere in between. Capturing dear moments between families, friends and pets is one of Emily's favourite aspects of professional photography, and it's now very clear she's on the right side of the lens.
